Memorial Day 2014

This is way late I know, what else is new this year?
But we went:
We saw:
We played with the baby:

We blessed the baby, saw much family:
And some friends.
The trip was good, uneventful, no incidents, everyone remembered their own shoes...
And I barely managed to take half a dozen pictures.
I am pathetic. It's true.
ATL did so much better and most of what you see here is her work.

This is me and it was a good holiday.

Under The Bed

Here's the thing. If a person wants to hide secure their drugs narcotics on their private property that's their choice. Feel free to put them wherever.
But I don't feel that this is a very secure location:

This is me and I wasn't even looking.

Welcome Little Ted

I never thought that ours was a particularly photogenic family. We aren't ugly and we all smile, but it's not catalog lovely, or billboard fabulous but effortless looking when the camera turns our way.
And yet, every single one of my sisters looks simply fabulous after giving birth.
What is that about? Check it out:
BHB and Seth welcomed little Ted into the world last week:
How alert does he look after only 3 hours of life?! Right?
Tarzan keeps insisting the kid must be older than he actually is. Not sure how they would be mistaken, but I'm thinking it's the hair. Takes after his father already:
Everyone is doing fine and healthy, home and adjusting. It keeps getting weirder as my younger and younger sisters have kids. I remember the day we were in the paper because BHB was the first baby born in her hospital in 1987.

This is me and it's marvelous and trippy all at once.

Just Keep Walking

One of my 2014 New Year's resolutions was to drink more water. Try and get the 8-8oz. glasses a day we are supposed to.
It hasn't been too hard to drink that much - once I started carrying refillable bottles with me - but I have had a challenge keeping track of how many time I refill the bottle.
So I got an app.
Argus was free, it had the highest rating and it seemed easy enough to use. In addition to keeping track of my drinking, it also counts my steps in a day and so I started watching and taking a few extra trips up and down the stairs just for kicks and to get to my self-imposed goal of 8,000 steps a day.
I was all proud of myself until I noticed that it clocked the distance from where I plug my phone in, in the bathroom, to the bed, as 45 steps.
(It's a small house, I could probably walk the entire length of the thing in 20 steps give or take.)

This is me and 45 ant steps maybe.
