Why does canned papaya taste SO much better than fresh? Is it merely the juice that it comes packed in? Is it because I didn't have to pick out all the seeds myself? Is it because the stuff they sell in the stores is or isn't completely ripe? What's the secret?
(Okay, that's more than one question for the day.)

There's some fruit - not a mango, but looks like it - that every time I eat it, I'm reminded I hate it. Tastes like snot or something... sounds fancy like papaya... Guava maybe?? Does that taste like snot??
